Chantelle Houghton appeared dressed as a salad in London last Thursday (24.03.11) to promote the vegetarian lifestyle.
The former 'Big Brother' contestant and model wore only lettuce leaves styled into a dress to front a campaign by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), encouraging the public to stop eating meat.
PETA handed out vegetarian and vegan starter kits as Chantelle posed in her costume.
She tweeted: ''On way to PETA photocall, can't wait to wear the dress! Excited! Its not everyday u get to dress up in lettuce leaves (sic)!''
She later added: ''My PETA campaign is to raise awareness for people to become vegetarians/vegans! They have amazing starter packs! Stop cruelty to animals x (sic).''
Chantelle has vegetarianism close to her heart and in 2006 reportedly started on a vegan diet.
She also has plans to branch out into ethical business, with a friend saying: ''She's a strict vegan and is going to launch a new range of food, a make-up range, a perfume and her own swimwear line.''
The star is set to launch her fist shop, Vardo - which will sell clothing and jewellery - in her hometown of Buckhurst Hill in Essex next month.
