Sprint and Samsung have joined forces to offer the Samsung Restore, a new eco-friendly cell phone.
The Samsung Restore cell phone comes with a wide variety of standard features that place it firmly on the cutting edge of the recent smart phone revolution, but its eco-friendly design takes this device to the next level of desirability for shoppers with a conscious.
At just 4.5 inches tall by 2.1 inches wide and weighing a mere 3.7 ounces, the Restore delivers every feature that is necessary to stay connected in a compact format that is easy to use, even for beginners.
Made from 83 percent recyclable materials and sold in packaging that is made from 100 percent post-consumer recycled plastic, the Samsung Restore is perfect for eco-conscious consumers who want to keep up with the pace of modern technology without destroying the environment.
In addition, Sprint says the phone's packaging uses less than half the amount of packaging that is typically required for the standard phone, which helps to keep waste out of landfills and to reduce the amount of energy that is required during the manufacturing process.
In addition, the Samsung Restore comes with a digital, easily downloadable version of its user guide in an effort to further reduce the amount of paper that is required to accompany the phone and its packaging at the point of sale. Also of note, the full-featured smart phone comes with an Energy Star-qualified charger
The phone is available via Sprint and Virgin Mobile USA prepaid networks and comes standard with a slide-out full QWERTY keyboard that is designed for easy texting, emailing and instant messaging, a two-megapixel camera and a built-in camcorder.
It also features a larger screen than previous models and one-touch access to social networks like Facebook and Twitter. In addition, users have the option to expand the Samsung Restore's memory by up to 32GB simply by inserting a new card.
