Patrick Dempsey is auctioning off the chance to watch him race for the Alzheimer's association.
The 'Grey's Anatomy' star is offering the highest bidder the opportunity to accompany him to the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California on July 9.
The actor is a keen fan of competitive motor racing and runs and drives for his own team, suitably titled Dempsey Racing.
The highest bidder will get to personally meet Patrick and watch the day's GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series GT class race. Patrick will also give a guided tour of the pits, and pose for a private photo with the rest of his team's drivers.
The auction listing reads: ''Dempsey's love of auto racing has led him to drive the pace car in the Indianapolis 500, race in the Rolex 24 at Daytona sports car race and the Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 off-road race.
''Dempsey Racing is presently racing two Mazda RX-8 cars in the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series GT class. Patrick will be taking part in as many races as he can throughout the season in the Mazda RX-8.''
The winner will have access to the pit during both practice and the race and be given a range of autographed Team Dempsey memorabilia.
The team is hoping to raise at least $25,000 for the Alzheimer's charity through the auction.
Patrick's doctor character in 'Grey's Anatomy' is about to be involved in a big storyline which will be based around his work in an Alzheimer's clinical trial on the show.
Patrick is also an active campaigner against sexual abuse, and hosted the John Varvatos 8th Annual Stuart House Benefit this weekend.
The fundraising event benefits a Rape Treatment Centre at the Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center, which specifically treats young victims of sexual abuse.
