Emma Watson loves being able to wear clothes that she knows aren't harming the environment.
The 20-year-old 'Harry Potter' actress - who has joined forces with luxury Italian designer Alberta Ferretti to create eco-friendly clothing line Pure Threads - explained she enjoys having creative control over the fashion collection.
She said: ''I love having control! My job as an actress is to bring to life another person's vision, but with clothes, I can express my own creativity
''And I wanted to be able to buy fashion knowing that it's not harming the person who made it or the environment. I've always been involved in art and I love fashion - it's just something I really enjoy.''
Emma - who recently announced she was taking time out from her education at the prestigious Brown University in the US to concentrate on her commitments to the 'Harry Potter' franchise - admitted eco-fashion is particularly close to her heart as it makes consumers more conscious of where their clothes are coming from.
She added to InStyle magazine: ''I think it's important to be conscious of what we're buying and where it comes from. As consumers, we have so much power to change the world just be being careful in what we buy.''
