In addition, Vers has partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation and routinely plants at least 100 new trees for each tree that is used in production of all of its wood sound systems.
Bamboo is used because it is actually a grass, and can be harvested many times without harming the plant. In addition, bamboo grows fast - up to 3'' per day - and reaches a usable height in just over three months.
This makes it an attractive alternative to typical hardwood trees, which can take at least 60 years to reach maturity.
Bamboo also happens to produce up to 35 percent more oxygen per acre than most trees and requires less CO2 production during harvesting, which is typically done by hand.
Furthermore, bamboo is even more durable than oak and displays strength and hardness that is comparable to that of steel, making it extremely tough in addition to being am eco-friendly material.
