Yves Behar, one of the world's best-known designers, set out to combine function and modern-day design to create the WattStation. The pioneering EV station uses the latest technology to manage the impact that vehicles have on power grids.
Vehicle owners can use WiFi, 3G or Ethernet connections to communicate with the unit. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology ensures secure access. Each station includes an LED light to show when it is free for use, charging or out of action. Its retractable, cord means it can be kept neat and tidy.
The modular WattStation can easily be upgraded, according to owners' needs.
The WattStation meets all safety and fire regulations and has ground fault production and NEMA 3R protection against precipitation. It also has ecomagination approval, which means it is able to significantly boost environmental and customer performance factors. American strategy and management consulting group, GreenOrder, assists in checking the approval process.
