Simon Kent is a freelance journalist based in Bristol UK. He has written for national, trade and professional publications, has written five books on careers as well as short films, TV scripts, speeches and self-performed standup comedy.

While working for The Guardian newspaper he identified about wrote about the death of the conventional job and rise of the portfolio career. He's also written extensively about corporate social responsibility and currently edits a political public sector magazine.
